Most manufacturers start with a spend and supplier visibility project, or with one document-heavy purchasing workflow such as invoice matching. We pull data from ERP systems, supplier portals and contracts for one plant or category, clean it, and build a working view within the first few weeks. This gives a concrete result the team can check before we expand to more plants, categories or systems.

We typically connect to the ERP system, supplier portals, contracts, certificates, and tariff or freight sources for the products in scope. Access is agreed in advance, limited to approved fields, and read-only unless a workflow requires an update. If a plant runs a different ERP than head office, we build a mapping so the data lines up under common categories.

A good result is measurable savings, fewer cost surprises from tariffs or freight, and faster purchasing cycles because documents move without manual retyping. We agree the measure before build, such as spend visibility percentage, exception count or days to process an order, and report against it so the improvement is visible rather than assumed.

A first pilot on one plant or category usually delivers a working result in three to six weeks. Cost depends on the number of systems, data volume and how much document automation is included. Most clients start with a fixed-scope pilot, then move to an ongoing engagement once the value is proven across plants.
